The following eight photos were taken April 5, 1945 and show the
children in the Cresson Preventorium at play and in the classroom. None of the children are identified.
The preventorium children obviously were not sick with TB as they would never have been allowed out to play in the inclement
cold weather depicted in these photos. Instead, the cold conditions were thought to increase their stamina and health
and so prevent them from developing tuberculosis.
